Attention all grad students, LPC-Interns, LMFT-Associates, and LMSWs.

Ever been sitting in the room with a client and thought to yourself, “They should really go see a therapist about this. Oh crap, that’s my job!”

You went into this career full of hope, enthusiasm, and inspiration.

And then you sat down with your first client (or 50th client) and realized, “Oh sh*t! How do I do this?!”

You’ve sat through awkward silences, feeling the pressure to deliver something profound to your eager client.

You’ve fumbled through a catalog of interventions in your brain, unsure which one to implement in that moment, then end up just picking something and hoping it looks like you know what you are doing.

You were hoping that if you knew enough about theory, helping skills, and interventions, you’d always know what to do in the room. But then anxiety, imposter syndrome, and feelings of inadequacy started showing up.

The good news: this is a normal part of becoming a new therapist, so you’re in good company!

In this 2 hour workshop, I will help you:

  • Use your anxiety as a helpful tool in session

  • Get more clear on who you are as a therapist

  • Eliminate feelings of inadequacy

  • Increase your confidence in the room, even with challenging clients

  • Develop your clinical skills

You’ll walk away from this workshop with a sigh of relief that you’ve got this, as well as skills you can implement right away with clients + a personalized roadmap for developing your own unique voice as a therapist.

Who this is for:

  • graduate students

  • LPC-Interns

  • LMFT-Associates

  • LMSWs

  • new therapists struggling with anxiety during sessions
